Hey Fussybuckets fans, I’m Kate and I’m excited to be guest blogging here today because the Color in Motion 5K is offering a RAD GIVEAWAY: a free entry in our upcoming race in Dallas on November 17 at Fair Park.
So what is it? When I first heard of the Color in Motion 5K I was a little hesitant…running….colored powder from India…dancing. But then I thought about it and realized, “my life is so boring! Why don’t I want more fun in my life? More culture? More liveliness and definitely more color!” So now, obviously, I paint with all the colors of the wind. In other words, for the color in Motion 5k, I’m sold. So yeah, my original question—what is it? It’s just a 5k with awesome colors—that’s it.
In this 5k, you show up in your clean whites, grab some color (included in your race packet), and start running, walking, crawling, or dancing to the finish line. Every kilometer there is a “color station” where volunteers spray you with colored powder as you go by. (Tip: if you want to be delicately sprinkled with the rainbow, stick to the inside. If you are embracing color in your life, hang out in the outer lanes to ensure optimal color exposure.) When you finish, it’s time to use your color packet for the post race color party.
So reunite with your inner child and color outside the lines this time. Let your friends and family join in the fun because after all, don’t we all just need a little more color in our lives? (Think Dorothy…where trouble melts like lemon drops, etc.)
Just enter below to win a free entry!
Oh yeah, the most important part! The Color in Motion 5K wants to give back to the Dallas community. Feel good knowing that a portion of our proceeds will go grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. A minimum of $5,000 will be donated to Make-A-Wish Foundation North Texas.
Disclosure: I was compensated monetarily for posting this guest post and giveaway.

I like that you can volunteer to throw color on people! I might just do that if I don't win a free entry! :)
