Today is the 16th Annual Family Health and Fitness Day! The purpose of this day is to encourage physical activity in your family, not only today, but every day of the year to improve the health of our nation. There are many events going on today at schools, parks, hospitals, YMCA, YWCA, malls, health clubs, health departments, places of worship, and other locations. If you aren't able to find any events nearby, why not create a special memory with your family, such as going for a walk, riding bikes, playing a game outdoors such as soccer, basketball, football, etc, or even playing some music and dancing with your family in the living room? The options are endless and you will all feel better after getting up and moving.
Our family started off the day by going to Captain Fussybuckets' soccer game in the cold rain! He usually lies low and just has a few assists, but today he scored three goals! Way to go, little buddy!
Now…for the rest of us to get some exercise today! What will you be doing with your family today??

Hubby worked from 3pm - 7am last night so I got no sleep and am exhausted, so there will be fitness day today. We are still eating healthy though so that's good at least.

We are starting on winterizing outside today - meaning pruning bushes and shrubs and the like. It's going to be fun and yet, I know I'm going to sweat lol

I'm taking my horses out for a ride today, and then taking my Border Collie to an agility competition. Lots of moving for us!
