A lot of people don't know this about me, but back in the day, I was really into country music. Like, REALLY into it. Starting in about fifth grade, I went on a path different from most of my friends and became a huge fan of such artists such as Clay Walker, Bryan White, Lonestar, James Bonamy, Martina McBride, Wade Hayes, the list just goes on and on. I was lucky enough to attend a few concerts with my dad, and he took me to see Clay Walker, who was my absolute favorite, quite a few times. I was the nerd that subscribed to a bunch of country music magazines and clipped the articles of my favorite stars and saved them in a notebook and even……wait for it…..put the posters allllll over my wall. Yup, that was me. #nerdalert!
In high school, I started branching out a bit and listening to what many teenage girls listened to but didn't want to admit it….boy bands. Backstreet Boys were my favorite, then NSYNC, followed by a few other smaller boy bands. Then when I went to college, a few friends with different tastes in music inspired me to listen to different things. Christian music, R&B, rock, and even some other stuff that was probably not too great and I wouldn't be able to even tolerate it now. HA! In fact, I really don't listen to much country music at all. Keith Urban is my favorite and well, he's not the most country guy on the scene. It really is funny how our tastes change over the years!
So, I close with this. A video of one of my all time Old School country favorites from back in the day….I can't actually believe I found it on YouTube!
