Is it just me or was that the longest winter ever?  I have no idea why I feel that way, I mean I’m in TEXAS, I should not feel that way!  There were plenty of warm days, but I just hate the cold more and more as I get older.  Or maybe it is because I have three little boys that do not thrive indoors!  I am SO glad that Spring is here, but Winter sure did leave a huge mess in our backyard!

This morning I set out to clean our messy backyard.  While we did not have any snow and very little ice, we did have a lot of rain.  Mud seemed to cover everything.  The only thing that was safe from the mud was hubby’s grill because it had a grill cover, but I was surprised to see that it was still pretty gross underneath!  So, that’s where I started.  Check out this tip from Mr. Clean:

Spring weather is perfect for sipping lemonade on the back porch. Grab Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to easily wipe away winter’s mark on your outdoor furniture and BBQ grill just moments before you invite over the neighbors. Less time cleaning means more time sunbathing.

After I cleaned the grill with the Magic Eraser, I was on a hunt for things I could clean.  Patio chairs that had been sitting out all winter?  Check!

Swings?  Yup!

Then I saw the nasty air conditioner, and Mr. Clean Magic Eraser quickly took care of that, too.

backyard spring cleaning turtleI often joke that our backyard looks like a daycare and it’s true.  We have been blessed with more backyard toys than we need, and the boys LOVE to spend their days playing outside!  It is a chore keeping the toys organized however, and on top of that…it’s hard to keep them clean.  I just used the Magic Eraser to gently scrub away the dirt and whatever else that was caked on them.  Our turtle sandbox has seen better days, but I got it clean in just a short amount of time.

We’ve had the slide on the left since the Captain was 1, so 6 years….it was filthy!

And one more picture, just because I had never thought about it, but the Magic Eraser is gentle on everything and even cleans sports equipment very well!

Giving our backyard a good spring cleaning was easy with Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.  I didn’t need anything extra but water.  Just wet it and gently scrub just about anything.  It’s easy and quick…and a great cleaning hack that doesn’t take all day!
