Strawberry Whipped Honey

This strawberry whipped honey is a special treat for spreading on biscuits, toast, or rolls, plus it's a great addition to a charcuterie board.

Whipped honey is so simple to make, all you need is a stand mixer, some honey and any flavorings or add-ins that you want. This recipe is just honey plus dehydrated strawberries!

I only recently became aware of whipped honey, when I tried a delicious version from Savannah Bee Company. Wanting some strawberry flavor added in, I decided to make my own and it turned out really, really delicious.

I tried it on my homemade gluten free sourdough chocolate chip bread and THAT was exceptionally delicious.

Strawberry whipped honey would make a great summer gift idea, too!

Yield: 1 jar

Total Time: 15 minutes

This fruity, creamy spread is perfect for slathering on breads, muffins, and more!

Ingredients

  • 20 oz of honey
  • ½ - 1 cup of dehydrated strawberries

Instructions

  1. Take your dehydrated strawberries and pulse in a blender, coffee grinder, or food processor, until it becomes fully pulverized.
  2. Add all of your honey to a stand mixer with the whisk attachment and beat for 20 minutes on the highest setting. (yes, really!)
  3. When the honey is light and fluffy, turn mixer off and carefully add in your strawberry powder.
  4. Mix together slowly, tasting it to see if you have enough. If not, add more. It should be a good blend of sweet and tart.
  5. When the whipped honey is to your liking, pour in a jar to store, or serve!

Notes

Experiment with different flavors - anything goes!

Store in an airtight container at room temperature. You can store in the fridge, but it will solidify.

If you see a layer of separation on top, that's completely fine, just stir before serving.

Honey comes in all jar sizes, and there is no hard and fast rule here, so just experiment with how much honey - strawberry powder ratio you prefer.
