Peppermint Hot Cocoa Cookies
The holidays are on their way, and it is time to add to your cookie collection this season! I made this recipe for Peppermint Hot Cocoa Cookies and they are SO good and my sons loved them!

This recipe is super easy, made with My Better Batch double chocolate chip cookie mix, but any of your favorite chocolate cookie mixes should work! Just use the ingredients for making the cookies on the instructions, plus what I have listed here.
If you are looking for a gluten free cookie mix, there are plenty available. I have not found a good double chocolate cookie mix that is gluten free, but you can use a chocolate chip cookie mix.

These cookies are incredibly moist and delicious, partially due to the marshmallows baked in the center!
Serve with hot cocoa pudding or spicy hot cocoa for an extra special touch!

These cookies would be great for a holiday cookie party or cookie exchange. They also make a sweet after school snack.

Peppermint Hot Cocoa Cookies
Peppermint Hot Cocoa Cookies are rich and delicious, with the perfect peppermint flavor, the best Christmas cookie!
Ingredients
- one box of double chocolate chip cookie dough
- ingredients for making the cookies, according to package instructions
- ½ cup mini marshmallows
- 2–3 candy canes or peppermints, crushed
- tiny marshmallows for decoration
- Optional: drizzle of melted chocolate or whipped cream
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
Mix the cookie dough, according to package directions.
Scoop about 1 tablespoon of dough, flatten slightly, and place 2–3 mini marshmallows in the center. Wrap dough around marshmallows to seal and place dough, seal down on the cookie sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven for 9-10 minutes.
Remove cookies from oven and if done, while warm, sprinkle with crushed candy canes or peppermints and marshmallow bits, if desired.
If not done, return to oven 1-2 minutes.
Cool slightly (5 minutes or more) to let marshmallow centers set before serving.
Top with whipped cream and/or drizzle with chocolate syrup, optional.
Notes
Air Fryer Instructions:
Place in air fryer basket on parchment, 2 inches apart.
Air fry – Cook at 325°F for 7–9 minutes until set but soft in the middle.
Store in a sealed container on the counter for up to 5 days.
