I hate DST.

I get the reasoning behind Daylight Savings Time.  I understand that people want more hours of daylight in the evenings during the summers.  But I really, truly hate DST.  I didn’t hate it until I had kids.  Well, that’s not true, I hated it before I had kids, because before kids, I was a teacher.  Here’s the bottom line:  it takes a while for kids to get on a schedule and likewise, it takes their little bodies a few days to adjust to zapping time back or forward an hour.  Sure, it’s nice if your kids can go down an hour later and actually sleep in the next morning, but my kids aren’t wired like that.  They have internal alarm clocks that make it where I don’t ever need to set my own alarm clock!

So yeah, short and sweet:  I hate Daylight Savings Time.  Isn’t there some kind of petition we can sign to do away with this horrible, horrible idea??

I found this image on Wikipedia.  The blue represents where DST is used, orange is where DST is no longer used (translation:  someone got smart,) and the red is where DST has never been used (translation:  these people were never “non-smart” enough to practice this ridiculous DST!)

Come on Texas, take a stand against DST!!!!!!

I don't like it either. It takes me at least a week to get myself back on track!
