One-Pan Dumpling Bake – Easy Family Dinner in 30 Minutes
This Dumpling Bake is an easy, flavor-packed twist on your favorite dumplings. No pan-frying required.

Similar recipes have gone viral on TikTok, and I know that your whole family will love the flavor and simplicity of this meal. It tastes like you put a lot of work into it, but the frozen dumplings and easy sauce make it a quick and easy weeknight meal.

Frozen dumplings are baked in a sweet and savory mix of soy sauce, garlic, red curry paste, sesame oil, and coconut milk until tender and golden. Finished with a sprinkle of green onions and sesame seeds for that perfect bite every time.

Can I sub in other ingredients?
You can make this dumpling bake less soy by subbing in coconut aminos for the soy sauce. I haven't found soy free frozen dumplings or potstickers, but I am sure that they exist somewhere.
If you are just looking for gluten free potstickers or dumplings, those are easier to find. Just remember to check all packaging at the store or when ordering online.

What frozen dumplings should I use?
Any frozen dumpling should work well in this recipe - pork, chicken, vegetable, etc. If you are having trouble locating them, you can also look for potstickers or gyozas. As I mentioned, they also sell frozen potstickers that are gluten free, so look for those if you need them or are cooking for someone who does.
Also be sure to check your grocery store's refrigerated section for dumplings or potstickers. Since refrigerated dumplings are usually thawed or fresh, reduce the bake time by about 5-7 minutes to avoid overcooking or sogginess.
And if you are feeling adventurous, frab some wonton wrappers and fill them with your favorite mix for homemade dumplings. Homemade dumplings may need a bit more time to cook through if raw, so increase the bake time by 5-10 minutes and cover loosely with foil if they start to brown too fast.
Serve this delicious black forest cake for dessert!

What vegetables can I add to this dish?
Want to add some extra color, flavor, and nutrition? These veggies work perfectly in your dumpling bake and cook quickly alongside the dumplings:
- Fresh spinach or baby kale
- Sliced mushrooms like cremini or shiitake
- Sweet bell peppers (red, yellow, or orange)
- Thinly sliced zucchini or yellow squash
- Shredded or finely chopped carrots
- Small broccoli florets (steamed or lightly cooked beforehand)
- Snap peas or snow peas, roughly chopped
- Shelled edamame for a protein-packed addition
Feel free to mix and match your favorites to make this cozy, easy bake your own.

Whatever you choose, this one-pan dinner will come together quickly and taste delicious.

Frozen dumplings are baked in a sweet and savory mix of soy sauce, garlic, red curry paste, sesame oil, and coconut milk until tender and golden. Finished with a sprinkle of green onions and sesame seeds for that perfect bite every time.
Ingredients
- 1 14 oz can of coconut milk
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 4 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 4 tablespoon of Thai red curry paste
- 2 tablespoon of sesame oil
- 3 cups of chopped bok choy
- 15-18 frozen dumplings (or until the baking dish is full)
- Sesame seeds for topping
- Scallions for topping
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 400°.
2. Add the coconut milk, garlic, soy sauce, curry paste and sesame oil to a 9x13 baking dish and stir until completely mixed together.
3. Add the chopped bok choy and lightly stir to mix.
4. Line the dumplings until you have no more room. (Pinch side up.)
5. Using a baster, dip in the sauce on the bottom of the pan and baste each dumpling so the sauce is on top of them.
6. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes. Half way through push them on their sides so they get a golden color.
7. Once done sprinkle sesame seeds on top and chopped scallions. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days.
- Don’t like bok choy? Use spinach or cabbage instead.
- You can drizzle red chili oil all over top of the dumplings once done as well.
- For extra crispiness: after baking, you can broil the top for 1-2 minutes to get a golden, crispy finish (watch carefully to avoid burning).
