As a girl from the 80's who grew up on Sesame Street, I love Cookie Monster. And my kids loved Sesame Street when they were little, as well. This is a little tribute to the fluffy cookie lover, I suppose.

I love recipes like this that are versatile and delicious. If you are serving this dip at a party and the color blue wouldn't fit, just change the food coloring to a color that suits your needs. Or, leave it without food coloring...it will still be amazingly addictive and delicious.

You may know that I love my dips, if you have perused my recipes at all. Pineapple Dip and Peanut Butter Dip are two of my favorites.

Sweet dessert dips are great because there is so much versatility. You can dip sweet cookies in it, or salty pretzels. You can also go with Oreos, graham crackers, fruit, or shortbread. And if you are gluten free, just grab some gluten free cookies and snacks to dip.

This fun blue Cookie Monster Dip is an easy no-bake dessert recipe loaded with cookies, perfect for parties, birthdays, and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • about 1⅓ cups full-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 1¼ cups powdered sugar
  • 1½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoon plain yogurt or vanilla yogurt (optional, for creaminess)
  • A few drops blue food coloring (gel recommended for vibrancy)
  • 2 white chocolate bars, chopped into chunks
  • 6–8 chocolate chip cookies, chopped into chunks
  • 8–10 mini Oreos, chopped into pieces

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, use a mixer to beat the softened cream cheese and sifted powdered sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  2. Mix in the vanilla extract, drops of food colorant and optional yogurt for creaminess.
  3. Adjust to your desired “monster” shade.
  4. Using a spatula, gently fold in the white chocolate chunks, chopped chocolate chip cookies, and mini Oreos. Leave a few chunks for garnish on top.
  5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving. This helps the dip set and the flavors meld.
  6. Transfer to a serving bowl, sprinkle with extra cookie and Oreo pieces, and serve with pretzels, graham crackers, or more cookies for dipping.

Notes

For a chunkier dip, add bigger cookie and Oreo pieces; for a smoother dip, crush them slightly before folding in.

Swap the blue food coloring for green, purple, or orange for different “monster” themes.

You can prepare this dip up to 24 hours in advance. Just keep it covered in the fridge and give it a gentle stir before serving.

Serve in a hollowed-out pumpkin or cauldron-shaped bowl for a spooky party effect.

Use full-fat cream cheese for the best creamy yet firm consistency. A spreadable cream cheese won’t set properly.

Powdered sugar dissolves better than granulated sugar, making the dip smooth.

This dip is meant to be sweet and fun—not overly elegant—so don’t worry if it looks a bit messy.
